My averageI grew up in small town Wisconsin until 2 weeks prior to my first day of high school. My mom convinced me to attend a general information meeting about for the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. A day later, I accepted and two weeks later is when I consider myself a Wisconsinite turned Minnesotan. While "becoming" a Minnesotan didn't directly change my life, it correlated with a lot of things that did. It was the beginning of my realizing I wanted to leave small town, not to leave it behind, but to have it as "home" and go elsewhere for "my home". While I still struggle with the idea of making dance my career, I'm still going full throttle and even fuller throttle when those doubts creep in my mind.
